Terms of business

These terms apply to every service from The Mind Dump, run by Moses Gion. Together with your written proposal they form our agreement. If the proposal and these terms differ, the proposal wins.

Proposals and prices

Every job starts with a written proposal setting out the scope, the price, the dates and the deposit. Prices are the full amount you pay. Travel within 30 miles of Oxford is included; further away, 45p per mile is shown in your quote before you book.

Deposits and payment

The deposit shown in your proposal, usually 30% to 50%, secures your dates. Invoices are due within 14 days, by bank transfer or card.

Changes

Two rounds of changes are included in every service. Further changes are charged at £50 per hour, always agreed with you before I start.

What you provide

Accurate information about the building, access for surveys and shoots at agreed times, and permission from anyone else who owns or occupies the property.

Planning and approvals

Decisions on planning and building regulations are made by the council and building control, so approval cannot be guaranteed. Their fees are paid by you.

Cancelling

If you are a consumer you can cancel within 14 days of agreeing to the work. If you asked me to start within those 14 days, you pay for the work already done. Paintings made to your specification are not covered by the 14 day right, which is why each portrait starts with a sketch you approve.

Copyright

Drawings, photographs and paintings remain my copyright. Once paid in full you receive a licence: to build the design at the address it was made for, to use the photographs in your own marketing, or to own and display the painting. Other companies need their own licence.

Liability

My liability for any claim is limited to the fee paid for the service concerned, except where the law does not allow a limit.

Complaints

If something is not right, email [email protected] and I will reply within 5 working days.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
